Take a drive to Australia’s only community-owned aviation museum, Queensland Air Museum in Caloundra and discover Australia's interesting aviation history.
Queensland Air Museum, located at Caloundra Airport, collects and preserves all aspects of aviation heritage with an emphasis on Australia and Queensland. It has the largest collection of historical aircraft in Queensland and it also has a large collection of aircraft engines, equipment, artefacts, photographs and books.
The museum features a massive array of military and civilian aircraft types that represent many aspects of aviation. You will find Fighters, Bombers, Airliners, Executive planes, Transport and Utility aircraft, Helicopters and more. There's also an impressive degree of interactivity available to visitors to the Queensland Air Museum, with chances to touch, climb and even enter some of the aircraft for a more true to life and "hands-on" experience.
Open daily (closed Christmas Day) 10am to 4pm. Admission is $20 Adults, $10 Children and $40 Family (2 adults and up to 3 children under the age of 16). Each July during the School Holidays the Queensland Air Museum hold an Open Cockpit Weekend (surcharges may apply).
